Matteo Scalco triumphs at the Coppa della Pace by finishing solo: “I thank the team that has always believed in me.”
Matteo Scalco won the Coppa della Pace, the decisive attack of the #greenteam youngster with 10km to go that allowed him to arrive solo on the Sant’Ermete finish line.
The 18-year-old rider from Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizané stated, “With three laps to go, I joined a breakaway of 10 riders, including Pinarello. From that point onwards, the race became intense. At the -10km mark, I launched an attack during the climbs, securing a significant lead that allowed me to win alone. I am grateful to the team for their unwavering belief in me. I have been participating in a fantastic race calendar and steadily improving.”
This triumph marks the eighth victory of the season for Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè.
